After completing his B.Comm in Wisconsin, Jon’s education continued in Victoria where he obtained a diploma in Business Administration. Jon joined Smart Investments in 2006. He is always pleased to meet new people and discuss his investment approach through an easy-to-understand process.
Jon and his wife Jane have three children, and much of his free time is spent coaching youth baseball and soccer. Prior to becoming a financial advisor, his days were spent playing professional golf and he still enjoys an early morning tee-time.
Kelsey Smart, BA, CHS, CFP

Kelsey (she/her) is a Queen's University alumnus with a BA, Honours in Psychology. She began her financial career in 2008 and joined Smart Investments in 2015. Kelsey works with folks who want simplicity, clarity, and integrity in navigating the financial landscape. Kelsey stands for: D&I, anti-racism, intersectional feminism, accessibility, and social responsibility within capitalism.
Kelsey lives in Lynn Valley with her doggos, Arrow and Gabi. When you visit the office, you might just be enthusiastically greeted by Arrow (Gabi is shy), as the pups sometimes convince Kelsey to bring them to work. When she is not at the office, you may spot Kelsey playing floor hockey, dodgeball, or volleyball.
Patricia Cockwell, BAS, AIAA, ACS
Patricia received a Bachelor of Administrative Studies from Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario, and has been working in the insurance and investment industry since then. After working with Prudential Life Insurance in Oshawa, Patricia moved to Vancouver where she worked with both Prudential and London Life. Smart Investments invited Patricia to join their administration team in 1999 and she’s lived and worked in North Vancouver ever since.
Patricia’s outside interests include travel, photography, hiking and long distance walking. It has been very rewarding for her to complete the Honolulu Marathon three times and continues to participate in many Half Marathons throughout North America.
